From January 15th to 17th, 2026, Prof. Deming Li, President of Green World International Group, led a delegation to Sanya, Hainan Province, for an inspection and exchange visit. The visit focused on preparations for the International Forum on Bio-fertilizers and Bio-stimulants, scheduled to be held in Uganda in 2026, with the aim of further promoting university-enterprise collaboration and international scientific exchange. The visit was joined by Yang Yiyang, Deputy Director of the Institute of Leisure Agriculture at Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and Dr. Ji Lingfei.

During the inspection, Prof. Deming Li and her delegation visited the Sanya Institute of Nanjing Agricultural University, which was under the leadership of Academician Shen Qirong. They particularly paid attention to the application performance of Nutriplant Organic Plus Fertilizer (NOPF) across different crop growth stages, such as coffee. Both sides conducted an in-depth discussion on the practical application of NOPF in tropical crops, technological optimization, and industrial-scale promotion. Additionally, they also exchanged views on relevant agenda design and content planning for the upcoming international forum.

The visit to Sanya marked a key step forward following the coordination meeting held at Nanjing Agricultural University on January 12th. According to the meeting minutes, the international forum is tentatively scheduled for mid to late July 2026 in Uganda, to be held in conjunction with the Africa Finals of the International College Students’ Innovation Competition hosted by Nanjing Agricultural University. The forum will feature two thematic sub-forums on bio-fertilizers and bio-stimulants, and is expected to bring together experts, scholars, and corporate representatives from China, Europe, America, and Africa.

During the visit, both sides further agreed that the forum should emphasize a balance between academic research and practical application. They conducted preliminary discussions on cooperation models for conference organization and expert invitations. In addition, they also conducted pragmatic talks on establishing long-term university-enterprise collaboration mechanisms, including the proposed joint development of an International Graduate Workstation under the College of Resources and Environmental Sciences of Nanjing Agricultural University. The cooperation is expected to focus on applied research and talent cultivation centered on the application of NOPF in crops such as coffee and tea.

The visit not only strengthened consensus between Green World and Nanjing Agricultural University within their tripartite cooperation framework, but also laid a solid foundation for advancing China-Africa agricultural science and technology exchange and building a sustainable university-enterprise collaboration model. Following the visit, both sides will continue to refine the forum plan and actively engage with local Ugandan universities and government institutions, jointly facilitating the global application and promotion of green agricultural technologies.
