From October 27th to 29th, 2026, the 2026 GCHERA (Global Confederation of Higher Education Associations for Agricultural and Life Sciences) World Agriculture Prize Award Ceremony and the 2026 Consortium for Innovations in Agricultural Education and Research in Asia (CIAERA) and Asia Hub Annual Meeting were grandly held in Nanjing. The event was co-hosted by Nanjing Agricultural University (NAU) and GCHERA. Representatives of international organizations such as the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), as well as experts and scholars from agriculture-related universities and research institutes in dozens of countries and regions, including the United States, Belgium, and Ghana, gathered in Nanjing to explore the future of global agricultural science, education, and industrial innovation.
As representatives of an enterprise deeply engaged in the health and wellness and agricultural technology sectors, Ms. Jenna Li, Board Director and General Manager of Green World, and Mr. Shaobo Liu, Board Director and President of Green World China Region, were invited to attend the conference. They delivered a keynote speech in the “Corporate Presentation and Demand Release” session of the parallel forum “Global Agricultural Science, Education, and Industrial Innovation,” sharing with global guests Green World’s fruitful achievements in industry-university-research integration and its internationalization strategy.
Ms. Jenna Li briefly introduced the company’s development history to Chinese and international guests. Since its founding in Michigan, USA, in 1994, Green World has always upheld the core values of “People-oriented and Honesty First”, and its business footprint has expanded to more than 70 countries worldwide. The company operates five production bases and 13 production lines globally, covering eight major product categories, including blueberry health products, nutritional foods, and Nutriplant Organic Plus Fertilizer (NOPF), and responds to global market demand with a flexible supply chain and localized services.
Scientific and technological innovation and talent cultivation have always been core strategies of Green World. Ms. Jenna Li focused on sharing the company’s practices in university-enterprise cooperation. Since early 2024, Green World has established in-depth cooperation with Nanjing Agricultural University (NAU), not only setting up multiple scholarships to support students’ development but also providing students with internship opportunities in real production environments. In addition, the company has carried out cooperation with top domestic and international research institutions such as Cornell University, Michigan State University, and the Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences (JAAS), striving to provide cutting-edge scientific support.
It is worth noting that Green World has maintained long-term scientific research cooperation with Academician Shen Qirong’s team for more than seven years, jointly developing NOPF. The company has not only provided nearly RMB 10 million in cumulative funding support to NAU and joint research projects, but Dr. Li Deming, Chairman of Green World, has also been appointed as an industry mentor for professional degree graduate students, further deepening the integration of academic education and industrial practice.
When speaking about international practices, Ms. Jenna Li shared Green World’s 12 years of operating experience in Uganda. By working in collaboration with NAU, the JAAS, and local agricultural institutions in Uganda, the company successfully facilitated multiple international cooperation projects and gained recognition from high-level officials including Uganda’s First Lady, Minister of Agriculture, and Prime Minister. On October 28th, two doctoral students set off for Uganda to conduct further research using co-developed organic fertilizer.
At present, Green World’s NOPF have obtained approvals or registration certificates in 21 countries worldwide, successfully bringing scientific research results to farmlands across the globe. Adhering to the value of “From Nature, Beyond Nature, Back to Nature”, the company is committed to building a complete value chain from farm to finished product, closely linking agricultural cultivation, food processing, scientific research, and consumer health.
This conference not only recognized the outstanding contributions of global agricultural scientists but also served as a platform for intellectual exchange between industry and academia. In the future, Green World will continue to deepen strategic cooperation with universities and research institutions worldwide, drive industrial upgrading through scientific and technological innovation, and contribute more to global agricultural sustainable development and human health.
