On December 14, 2024, the delegation, led by Prof. Deming Li, President of Green World International Group, arrived in the Gulu region of Uganda by a chartered flight. The main purpose of the visit was meeting with General Salim Saleh, former Minister of Defense of Uganda, Senior Adviser of the President of Uganda on Military Affairs, and General Coordinator of Uganda's Wealth Growth Initiative aiming to reduce poverty in Uganda through development of agriculture and small business. Hon. Vincent Bamulangaki Ssempijja, Senior Adviser of the President of Uganda and former Minister of Defense, also attended the meeting.
Mr. David L. Zhang, Vice President of Green World International Group and President of Green World African Region, enthusiastically introduced the grand plan of creating a Modern Circular Agriculture Demonstration & Extension Zone in Uganda in detail. He stressed that the establishment of the demonstration and extension zone would not only promote the development of agricultural modernization, but also aim to contribute our efforts and dedication to Uganda's poverty reduction initiatives by supporting and nurturing small businesses, thereby promoting the sustainable growth and prosperity of the local economy. In addition, he detailed that the demonstration and extension zone would apply the most cutting-edge agricultural technology and scientific management methods to ensure high production efficiency and high-quality product. Everyone was inspired by this vision and full of expectations and confidence in the future development prospects of Uganda's agriculture.
