On December 11, 2024, Prof. Deming Li, President of Green World International Group, and Mr. David L. Zhang, Vice President of Green World International Group and President of Green World African Region, led the investigation team to Lukaya region in central Uganda. They conducted a series of in-depth and comprehensive activities aimed at obtaining the actual situation of local agriculture and related industries.
Firstly, focused on the multilayer plywood market in the Lukaya region, the team conducted in-depth study, through which they not only observed and documented the local multilayer plywood production process in detail, but also conducted a comprehensive review and analysis of the supply situation.
Professor Deming Li and her team visited a rice processing plant, where they observed the rice hulling and other processing lines. They had in-depth discussions with local technicians on topics such as rice varieties, planting techniques, and yields. They also collected a large amount of first-hand data for more comprehensive analysis and research. The research team also learned about the impact of local agricultural policies on rice production and how the Ugandan government was leveraging technological innovation to improve rice yield and quality, ensuring food security.
Coffee products are the competitive products of Green World. Therefore, the investigation team particularly visited the seedling and planting bases of coffee, communicating with the local coffee farmers to understand the entire production processes of coffee from seed to finished product in detail, including key links such as soil suitability, planting techniques, harvesting and processing methods, especially the control and improvement of coffee quality. At last, a preliminary consensus on cooperation in the coffee industry was reached, which laid a solid foundation for Green World International Group to further explore the African coffee market.
In addition, the team also participated in the agricultural exhibition held in the Lukaya region which was specially planned and arranged by Hon. Ssempijja Vincent, Senior Adviser of the President of Uganda and former Minister of Defense, in order to showcase the rich agricultural products and advanced agricultural technological achievements of the local region. A wide variety of crops of excellent quality were exhibited, fully demonstrating the potential and vitality of agriculture in the Lukaya region.
During the visit, Prof. Deming Li, President of Green World International Group and Mr. David L. Zhang, Vice President of Green World International Group and President of Green World African Region, were interviewed by local TV stations.
They expressed the intention to collaborate, the determination to contribute to Uganda's agricultural development, and the confidence of the promising prospects of future cooperation.
At last, the team took a group photo in front of the equator marker in Lukaya to remember the unforgettable experience. This in-depth visit not only deepened the understanding of the Ugandan agricultural market, but also laid a solid foundation for future cooperation.
