H.E. Zhang Lizhong extended a warm welcome to the delegation and highly praised the achievements of Green World International Group in Uganda, particularly recognizing the company’s achievements in Uganda and its capabilities in developing the Green World Uganda Modern Agricultural Cooperation Park as a demonstration project for agricultural cooperation. He expressed his hope that Green World would continue to leverage its technological and managerial strengths to implement more livelihood-improving agricultural initiatives, thereby contributing to the development of the China-Uganda Comprehensive Cooperative Partnership at a deeper level.

During the discussion, Prof. Yan Zhu, Member of the NAU Party Committee and Vice President of NAU, remarked that NAU would continue to strengthen its partnership with Green World International Group and lead scientific teams to Uganda for in-depth academic collaboration. She emphasized that the university was devoted to transform research achievements into practical productive forces, contributing to Uganda’s agricultural development and the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative, with help and support from the Chinese Embassy in Uganda.

Additionally, Prof. Deming Li expressed her sincere appreciation for the long-standing support from the Chinese Embassy and provided an overview of Green World’s latest developments in Uganda. She expressed that Green World will uphold its core values of “People-oriented and Honesty First” and will continue to promote local economic and social development through practical actions.

At the end of the meeting, Prof. Deming Li, Mr. David L. Zhang, and the delegation from JAAS and NAU took a group photo with H.E. Ambassador Zhang Lizhong in front of the Chinese Embassy in Uganda.
