On June 10th, 2026, Green World Nanjing Production Base hosted a warm farewell ceremony for Ugandan intern Joan in the conference room on the fourth floor of the Administration Building, marking the successful completion of her internship program. Joan is the daughter of Hon. Vincent Bamulangaki Ssempijja, Senior Presidential Advisor and former Minister of Defence of Uganda. During the internship, she successfully finished all assigned tasks at the Nanjing Production Base from March 9th to June 9th, 2026.
On the same day at 4:30 p.m., at the beginning of the ceremony, a specially prepared commemorative video was played that highlighted Joan’s experiences and achievements during her internship. The video reviewed her work and learning journey across different departments and showcased her professional growth during her time at Green World. Mr. Dalei Shen, Supply Chain Director of Green World Nanjing Production Base, delivered the opening remarks on behalf of the company. He highly praised Joan’s professionalism and ability to adapt in a cross-cultural working environment throughout the internship. Joan then shared her internship experience and noted that through rotational assignments of approximately two to three weeks each in the Sales Department, Warehousing and Logistics Department, Quality and R&D Department, and General Administration Center, she gained a comprehensive understanding of the entire industrial chain operations of a modern food manufacturing enterprise. She described the experience as a meaningful and memorable chapter in her personal and professional development.
During the certificate presentation session, Mr. Dalei Shen and Mr. Guiming Hu, Director of the Production Center, jointly presented Joan with her Internship Completion Certificate and a bouquet of flowers. The company also arranged a tea reception featuring biscuits, chocolates, fruits, and beverages. Colleagues gathered to share cake and take photos in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Later that evening, a farewell dinner was held for Joan at the company cafeteria.
This internship program represents another important initiative by Green World to strengthen international talent development and university-enterprise cooperation. Earlier, Prof. Deming Li, President of Green World International Group, led a delegation to visit Hon. Vincent Bamulangaki Ssempijja, during which both sides exchanged views and reached broad consensus on topics including agricultural development and business investment. Joan’s successful completion of the three-month rotational internship not only enhanced her understanding of Chinese corporate culture and modern production management, but also further strengthened the friendly cooperation between Green World and its partners in Uganda.
Green World remains committed to its core values of “People-oriented and Honesty First”. In the future, the company will continue to uphold the concept of openness and cooperation, providing more opportunities for young international talents to gain practical experience and professional growth, and promoting exchanges and collaboration in the global health industry.
