On October 12th, 2017, the first World (China) Award Ceremony and Summit Forum of Public Opinion for Direct Selling Industry with the theme of “caring data, managing market and developing” was magnificently held in Guangzhou Wanda Hilton Hotel. With basic point of public opinion data, public opinion of China direct selling industry was firstly reported.
As the mode of internet technology and information dissemination are continuously reformed, public opinion data management and analysis become particularly important. Daodao Public Opinion Surveillance Room and Helen International Direct Marketing Research Center with the support of large data analysis and took direct selling data as the basic point, through a lot of research and case studies, collected and finally finished Public Opinion of 2016~2017 China Direct Selling Industry Report, which was firstly reported in this Summit Forum.

The report showed, according to the statistical data from Ministry of Commerce Statistics Management Information System, there were 89 national direct selling enterprises till August 31, 2017. Domestic enterprises which were always marginalized in the market began to catch up with foreign enterprises in the number and maintained a good momentum of steady development, which showed that domestic enterprises had more and more confidence in direct selling mode. According to the report, sales of China’s direct selling enterprises reached 194.814 billion in 2016, showing a steady upward trend.

The report predicted that Chinese direct selling industry in the future would show a closer relationship between government and enterprises, a more frequency of industry talent flow, product returned to guide, diversification of market regulation, “fission” phenomenon of professional managers and “self-employed”of system leaders, haze industry rising to provide favorable opportunity for development and other developing trend. Chinese direct marketing mode would be closer to compound marketing, Mobile Social would gradually become a trend, and traditional micro business would also accelerate to transform to direct marketing.
The report predicted that in 2018, development trend of direct selling industry in recent years would continue. There would be a slight increase in licensing number compared to 2017. More and more domestic enterprises would join the direct selling industry. Domestic enterprises would still be the main force of domestic direct market in the future. By 2020, the total sales of Chinese direct selling industry was expected to exceed 332.8 billion.

With the growth of direct sales team and the rapid development of internet technology, a variety of bad public opinion and rumors had been produced.
