On July 14, 2021, the first retail store of Green World South Africa branch opened in the Mall of Rosebank, Johannesburg, the economic center of South Africa. Mr. David L. Zhang, president of Green World African Region, Mr. Glory Guo, General Manager of Green World Johannesburg Branch in South Africa, some well-known local retailers and senior distributors of the company were invited to attend the opening ceremony.
After more than 10 years of development, Green World brand created great influence in South Africa. Mr. Paul Onyeka Anadebe, a successful local businessman who has been engaged in retail business for a long time, strove to grasp this business opportunity. In order to provide high-quality Green World products to ordinary consumers and promote the health concept of Green World to new customers, he took the initiative to contact the company to discuss the development of retail business. After several months of careful site selection and preparation, the first Green World retail flagship store was built. On the opening day, the retail store was filled with customers who lined up to buy products orderly and generated considerable sales revenue.
Green World retail store will be developed in parallel with the Green World specialty store (also known as the distributor experience center). It is open to the public and mainly serves ordinary customers of non-member distributors. Besides selling the existing complementary medicine, functional food and health products and cosmetics, a series of retail products will be introduced, including female care products, health wine series, blueberry series and household products, etc. The retail stores are located in high-end shopping malls in South Africa.
The sites of the second and third stores are being selected and are expected to open as scheduled by the end of October. By the end of 2022, South Africa branch plans to have at least 10 retail stores open to the public in high-end malls across the country's major cities, including Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town and Durban. At the same time, African region will vigorously promote this model. In other African countries, the retail flagship stores will also be open to the public, combined with online e-commerce, so that Green World quality products will be more quickly received by the consumers.
