On July 29th, 2025, Prof. Deming Li, President of Green World International Group, Mr. David L. Zhang, Vice President of Green World International Group and President of Green World Africa Region, Mr. Isaac Ren, General Manager of Green World Uganda Branch, together with delegations from Nanjing Agricultural University (NAU), Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences (JAAS), and Jiangsu University of Science and Technology (JUST), paid a visit to Hon. Janet Kataaha Museveni, the First Lady of Uganda and Minister of Education and Sports, at the State House. In addition, the meeting was also attended by several senior Ugandan officials, including Deputy Minister of Education and Sports of Uganda, Vice Chancellor of Makerere University, and Director General of the National Agricultural Research Organization (NARO). The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as agricultural cooperation and technology promotion.
The NAU delegation, led by Prof. Yan Zhu, Member of the NAU Party Committee and Vice President of NAU, also received considerable attention. Other delegation members included Prof. Song Shi, Director of the Office of International Relations and Dean of the College of International Education, Prof. Aizhong Cao, Director of the Office of Teaching Affairs, Prof. Ruifu Zhang, Dean of the College of Resources and Environmental Sciences, and Ms. Hong Yao, Director of the General Affairs Division of the office of International Relations and the College of International Education.
During the meeting, Prof. Deming Li elaborated on agricultural investment plans of Green World International Group in Africa and its technical strengths, with a particular focus on the Group’s practical experience in modern agricultural technology applications, agricultural products processing, and talent development. Mr. David L. Zhang also introduced and emphasized Green World’s long-term commitment to the African market, expressing the company’s desire to significantly contribute to Uganda’s agricultural development through collaborative efforts.
Hon. Janet Kataaha Museveni warmly welcomed the delegation and praised Green World International Group for its contributions to sustainable agricultural development in Africa. She noted that the Ugandan government attached great importance to the government’s partnerships with enterprises, and looked forward to improving the competitiveness of local agriculture through technology transfer and industrial upgrading.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides exchanged commemorative gifts and took a group photo at the State House, jointly affirming their willingness to deepen future cooperation.
