On October 20th, 2025, Prof. Deming Li, President of Green World International Group, led the core team to visit Nanjing Agricultural University and jointly inaugurated the "Fan Qingsheng Agricultural Microbiology Laboratory". The delegation of the group was highly accomplished, including Mr. Peter Li, President of the Latin American Region, Mr. Shaobo Liu, President of the China Region, Ms. Qiaoying Liu, Executive Deputy General Manager of the Nanjing Production Base, Ms. Taimin Liu, Manager of the Group's International Service Department, Ms. Rainie Wang, Dean of the Group's International Business School, and Mr. Budiman Prasetyo, Director of the Group's Asian Education and Training Department , as well as Green World family members from various regions such as China, Europe, Africa, and Southeast Asia. This event was not only a tribute to the academic spirit of the older generation of scientists, but also an important practice to deepen the cooperation between the university and the enterprise and promote the innovative development of the agricultural microbiology field.
At 9 a.m., the exchange activity began at the school history museum. Under the guidance of the professional, the group first learned about the educational philosophy of school pioneer Chen Yuguang, deeply studied the connotation of the school motto "Honesty, Prudence, Diligence, and Virtue", and systematically reviewed the global agricultural education institution layout, development history of the school, and the construction process of various campuses and the Bai Ma base as educational carriers. When introducing the school's successive leading figures, Prof. Deming Li, during her undergraduate years, stood in front of his mentor - Professor Fan Qingsheng for a long time. She deeply remembered her teacher's teachings and took a photo with him, and her sincere emotions touched all the audience. Then all the participants took a group photo at the entrance of the school history museum, marking the successful conclusion of the school history visit session.
After the visit to the school history museum, the unveiling ceremony of the "Fan Qingsheng Agricultural Microbiology Laboratory" was held at the School of Life Sciences. Prof. Deming Li, Mrs. Fan Zhenmei, Fan Qingsheng's family member, Mr. Shan Zhengfeng, vice president and member of the Party Committee of Nanjing Agricultural University, and Mr. Zhao Mingwen, the Party Secretary of the School of Life Sciences, jointly unveiled the laboratory. The red curtain fell, marking the official opening of the laboratory. At the ceremony site, the statue of Professor Fan Qingsheng at the entrance of the School of Life Sciences was solemn and respectful. All participants saluted the statue to show their respect for this academic elder.
Secretary Zhao Mingwen detailed Mr. Fan Qingsheng's life story at the ceremony, reviewing his groundbreaking achievements in the field of microbiology and his contributions to education. He also introduced the operation of the "Fan Qingsheng Scholarship". He emphasized that this scholarship not only inherits the spirit of Mr. Fan Qingsheng but also provides strong support for the cultivation of outstanding talents in the field of microbiology. It is known that from 1977 to 1982, Prof. Deming Li was studying for his undergraduate degree in the Soil Fertilization Department of Nanjing Agricultural University under the guidance of Professor Fan Qingsheng. To express her gratitude to her teacher and to contribute to the scientific research and educational endeavors of her alma mater, she donated 3.4 million yuan successively. The unveiling of this laboratory is another significant achievement of the school and enterprise joining hands to inherit the academic spirit.
After the unveiling ceremony, the group members conducted an in-depth visit to Fan Qingsheng's microbiology laboratory to learn about the construction of the research platform, experimental teaching, and ongoing projects in the field of microbiology and related areas of the Life Sciences College. They highly praised the laboratory's hardware configuration and research direction. Subsequently, the group members went to the Binjiang Campus to visit the laboratory of Academician Shen Qirong and the Laboratory of Crop Stress Resistance and Seed Biology. Mr. Tu Weiguo, the Party Secretary and Director of Nanjing National Agricultural High-tech Zone and the Secretary of Baima Town, also participated in the inspection. They conducted in-depth investigation and communication with the group team about the configuration of laboratory instruments and equipment, the construction ideas of the research team, and the characteristic research directions, laying a clear communication bridge for the subsequent university-enterprise scientific research cooperation.
During the visit, the group's accompanying personnel repeatedly praised the laboratory facilities and the research team strength of Nanjing Agricultural University. They stated that this exchange gave everyone a more direct understanding of the group's strategic layout and resource investment in the field of agricultural science and technology, further strengthening their determination to join hands with Green World International Group to deeply explore the global agricultural market.
